Charles Sewart has been appointed Head of Strings at the Purcell School in London as of January 2008. This is a demanding and full-time position and therefore, sadly, the Quartet will be saying goodbye to him at the end of December 2007 after 16 years. He will be much missed but the Chilingirian Quartet are delighted to announce that RICHARD IRELAND has agreed to join the Quartet as second violin as of January 2008. Richard is a vastly experienced performer and teacher. Click here to see his biography.
