GRAFFIN AND ELGAR
Following his unique and acclaimed recording of the manuscript version of Elgar's Violin Concerto, Graffin performed the work with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic in Elgar's 150th anniversary year. This season he plays Elgar with the Orchestra of Opera North, for his Italian debut in Padua in May and with The Philharmonia/Roger Norrington for the 100th anniversary performance at the Three Choirs Festival (where it was first performed by Fritz Kreisler.)

OTHER 2009/10 HIGHLIGHTS
Graffin continues his association with the Johannesburg Philharmonic with a performance of the Beethoven Violin Concerto.
He goes back into the studio to record the world première of the Frederick Cliffe and Frederick d'Erlanger concertos with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales / Lloyd-Jones for Hyperion.
Launch of Graffin Quartet: April will see another tribute to Elgar with the launch of the Graffin Quartet in the London Chamber Music Society series at Kings Place.

New composition: Composer Philippe Hersant has written a Rhapsodie for Violin and Luthéal especially for Graffin. The work was premiered this September and will soon be published by Durand.
