COLERIDGE-TAYLOR - NEWS!

Following his world première recording and 2005 BBC Proms performance Graffin continues to champion the Violin Concerto by Coleridge-Taylor with performances in February 2007 with The Philharmonia and in October 2007 with the Orchestre National d'Ile de France and Yoel Levi

GRAFFIN & BBC SYMPHONY GIVE UK PREMIERE OF RUSSIAN CONCERTO

With the BBC Symphony Orchestra Philippe & Martin Hurrell (trumpet) will give the UK première of Rodion Shchedrin's Concerto Parlando for violin, trumpet and strings which is dedicated to Philippe.

GRAMOPHONE SHORTLIST

Graffin's CD of Elgar's Violin Concerto and Chausson's Poème (original manuscript versions) was 2nd place in the 2006 Gramophone Awards ~ Best Concerto

LATEST RECORDING!
Philippe has recorded the two Mozart duos and the Sinfonia Concertante with superb viola player Nobuko Imai. Together with Mozart's Violin Concerto no 3 K316, the Adagio K261 and Rondo K373 is released on Avie Records in July 2007.

Consonances de Saint-Nazaire 15-22 September 2007
Founder and Artistic Director of the Consonances Festival, Saint- Nazaire since 1990, Philippe's theme for 2007 is "Metamorphoses" and includes a play based on Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time commissioned for the opening of a new hall 'Life' in St-Nazaire
