Fascinated by the classical music profession since her management of Howard Shelley’s cycle of the complete solo piano music of Rachmaninov at the Wigmore Hall in 1983, Caroline Baird spent three years at Ibbs & Tillett and twelve years at Intermusica before setting up her own artist management business, Caroline Baird Artists, in April 1999.

Philippe Graffin joined Howard Shelley at the newly formed agency in 1999. With a small number of artists Caroline Baird is committed to provide creative personal management. In addition she will undertake project work and orchestral touring where appropriate and has a long standing relationship with The London Mozart Players in this regard.

Caroline Baird was invited to join the network of managers who represented the winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2001 and handled the the UK touring in the 2001/2 and 2002/3 seasons of the joint winner, Stanislaw Ioudenitch.

She also represented the Haydn Trio Eisenstadt in the UK and Ireland during 2009, Haydn’s bicentenary year, when the Trio performed a staggering 157 concerts worldwide, including 36 in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland – tours in Scotland and Ireland, summer festivals in Wales and England and a week-long Haydn Festival at Kings Place, London.
